The "98/3" was a group of little steam locos built in Germany from 1905 to 1915.
They were used by Royal Bavarian Railways until 1927, by DRG (Deutsche Reichbahn
Gesellshaft) until 1945, then by DB (Deutsche Bundesbahn) until 1960.
They were used for small local passenger trains.
The model represents a 98/3 Type steam loco of DRG (Deutsche Reichbahn Gesellshaft)
in 1938.
